Richard Gerry's multi-million-dollar trial victories in wrongful death, public safety and catastrophic injury cases have attracted national attention. Appearing before the Arizona Supreme Court, the Arizona Court of Appeals and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, Richard has tried and won cases that have established new legal precedents to protect the rights of injured clients and the public. Recent victories (view a more complete list) include:

  • a $36 million jury verdict (Graham v. ValueOptions) for the family of a man killed by a delusional mental patient who had not received treatment ordered by his behavioral healthcare provider (the jury award was Arizona's fifth-largest in 2008 and the 58th largest nationally);

  • a $3 million settlement (Adamowicz v. Ryan et al) for the adult children of a 68-year-old woman who was killed by a drunken teenage driver; and

  • a $9 million jury verdict (Hudgins v. Southwest Airlines) for the false arrest of two men who were given written authorization to carry weapons aboard a Southwest Airlines flight.

Ty Taber has won dozens of multi-million-dollar and six-figure settlements and jury verdicts during more than 30 years of representing victims of negligence. His victories (view a more complete list) in negotiated settlements and as lead counsel in numerous jury trials include:

  • a $4 million jury verdict for the parents of an eight-year-old girl killed while horseback riding;

  • a $2.7 million verdict for a 20-year-old woman stranded for 10 days on a state highway; and

  • a settlement of more than $1 million for a worker who, while on the job, was crushed between a tractor trailer and a loading dock.
