Divorce, Domestic Relations and
Family Law
Our experience and reputation provide a valuable edge in complex divorce where
significant business or personal assets are at issue.
Our Phoenix divorce attorneys – former Superior
Court judge James E. Padish and associate
attorney Kellie N. Wells – understand the
emotional, financial and legal challenges associated with:
-
separation
-
complex divorce
-
property settlement
-
business ownership
-
child custody and visitation
-
child support
-
temporary orders
-
division of assets and debts
-
spousal maintenance (alimony).
For men and women who continue to encounter legal
challenges after their divorce is final, we are experienced in a wide range of
post-decree matters, including custody and visitation issues, child support
modification and enforcement, and spousal maintenance (alimony) modification and
enforcement.
Domestic relations law (also known as “family law”)
also has its less contentious aspects, and we are prepared to assist clients in
creating premarital (or prenuptial) agreements, postnuptial agreements, domestic
partnerships, and guardianships.
Hon. James E. Padish (Ret.)
Judge Padish’s strong reputation among Phoenix
divorce lawyers and in Arizona’s broader legal profession is firmly rooted in
his six years as a Maricopa County Superior Court judge, his respected legal
representation of divorcing parties, and his work as a mediator and arbitrator
in divorce cases.
Judge Padish is a conference team member of the
Arizona Commission on Judicial Performance Review, a former member of the Sandra Day
O’Connor Inn of Court, a member of the Arizona Judges Association, and former
chair of the Maricopa County Bar Association Professionalism Committee. He has
been inducted into the Hall of Distinction of The John Marshall Law School and
was selected for the 2007 edition of Southwest Super Lawyers (Family Law).
